Artist Resources
Art Infrastructure Directory
One of the goals of DubuqueArtCity is to build a business infrastructure that supports artists to make their work sustainably and profitably. Part of this goal is creating this inventory of niche specialists and promoting their businesses. This is a live and developing directory. Thank you for your patience.
Studios, Workshops, Organizations
Dubuque has many passionate arts organizations that support artists working and living in the area. Because I don’t believe in overlapping efforts, I will direct you to the Scenic Art Loop Map, which is the most comprehensive list of arts organizations, studios and workshops in the area.
Hot Tips PDF
Coming soon, guys, Rome was not built in a day. I am making a PDF compilation of everything I think I know about the business of art. It will be available for free download here when it is ready. Please follow @DubuqueArtCity on Instagram for updates.
Creating an Archive & Legacy for Your Work
Please don’t leave a garage full of artwork to your poor families, it was stressful enough to love you all these years. Be an adult and make a plan for where all of this goes and how people might interpret it. Preserve the value of your work for your collectors.
Galleries & Exhibition Spaces
The community has many exhibit spaces that showcase art at all levels and aesthetics. Enter for a list of local exhibition and gallery spaces, maps with dimensions, contact information and exhibition guidelines for each space.
