2014, March - Scott Cornwell & Susan Price purchase an old milk factory they call The Smokestack.

While on a roadtrip, Scott and Susan stop through Dubuque and fall in love with an old building in the downtown.

Susan Price on the building when it was first purchased: “…it was a derelict indoor junkyard with no services except minimal electricity on the first floor. We had a few months between our purchase and beginning the major work of saving this historically significant property from the wrecking ball, so we were able to experience this place and its energy, and then understand that this building wanted to be shared in its entirety once again.”
